Funeral services for Ms. Jimmie Lou Henderson, 95, were held at 2 p.m., July 24, 2012 at Coleman Funeral Home Chapel in Ackerman. Rev. Doug Herring officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Nebo Methodist Cemetery near Ackerman.
A native of Choctaw County, Ms. Henderson was a retired teacher. Ms. Henderson died July 21, 2012 at the Choctaw County Nursing Home in Ackerman.
Survivors include sons, Douglas Henderson of Weir; James Neal Henderson of Ackerman; Jimmy Hugh Henderson of Ackerman; Ralph Henderson of Tupelo; Thomas Henderson of Tupelo; and William Henderson of Flintstone, GA., 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Nebo Cemetery Fund C/O Hayward Perry 189 Waggon Drive Weir, MS 39772. Checks payable to Mt. Nebo Cemetery Fund.

Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Ann Hathorn, 78, were held at Oak Grove No. 2 M.B. Church in Louisville on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 11 a.m. Rev. Anthony Thames officiated. Burial at Memorial Garden in Louisville.
A native of Louisville, Mrs. Hathorn was a homemaker. Mrs. Hathorn was a member of Oak Grove No. 2 M.B. Church. Mrs. Hathorn died on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at her residence in Louisville.
Survivors include daughters, Allie Lyons, Betty Grant, Margaret Maury, Lisa Ingram, all of Louisville; sons, Roger Hathorn, Muldrew Hathorn, Laurence Hathorn, Bernard Hathorn, Leo Hathorn, Cleo Hathorn, all of Louisville; sisters, Pattie Jean Hopkins, Jessie Hoskins, both of Louisville, Betty Eiland of Detroit, MI; brothers, Elder Alex Smith, Reginald White, both of AR, Bobby W. White of Detroit, MI, Bobby Joe White of Louisville; 28 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Etoy E. (Dean) Wells, 90, were held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 20, 2012 at Salem Independent Methodist Church near Ackerman. Rev. Jerry Lawson officiated. Burial followed at Salem Independent Methodist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Wells was born September 29, 1921 in Choctaw County. She was a factory worker for years and a member of Wood Springs Baptist Church in northern Choctaw County. She died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at the Choctaw County Nursing Home in Ackerman.
Ms. Wells was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years-Calton O. Wells; her parents William Wiley and Nannie Hodges Dean; three brothers; and four sisters.
She is survived by three daughters; Janice Hollingsworth and husband Robert, Brenda Pearson and husband Scott, Ann Coleman and husband Keith, all of Ackerman; six grandchildren; Susan Hollingsworth Wells, Randy Hollingsworth, Mike Pearson and wife Deanna, Donna Gillis and husband Mark, Chris Coleman and wife Courtney, Joel Coleman and wife Katie; eight great grandchildren, Jace Pearson, Brooke Gillis, Anna Gillis, Chance Hollingsworth and wife Brandi, Blake Wells, Lanah-Claire Wells, Marlee Coleman, Tyson Coleman and three great great grandchildren; Atleigh Hollingsworth, Presleigh Hollingsworth and Copper Hollingsworth.
Memorials may be sent to Choctaw County Nursing Home Auxiliary.

Ms. Willie Alma Caldwell
Ms. Willie Alma Caldwell, 95, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 in Columbus, MS. Visitation will be Thursday, July 26th from 1:00-5:00 p.m. in the Lee-Sykes Funeral Home Chapel, Columbus, MS.
Visitation will also be held Friday, July 27th at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, July 27, 2012 at Pilgrim M.B. Church, Ackerman, MS with Rev. Robert Bowers officiating. Interment will be in Robinson Cemetery, Ackerman, MS.
Ms Caldwell was a native of Choctaw County and she retired from Prairie Opportunity. In the early years she joined Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church, Ackerman. After moving to Columbus, MS she united with Calvary Faith Center Baptist Church. While at Pilgrim Rest she served in the choir and as Sunday School Secretary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Jimmie Caldwell; two brothers, James and Andrew Caldwell; three sisters, Lillie Jones, Loutee Harpet, and Jimmie L. Steele.
She is survived by one sister, Ruth C. Shaw.
Pallbearers will be nephews and Deacons of Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church.
