From press reports

The 2012 Farm Bureau Youth Safety Camp was held recently at Timber Creek Camp near Pulaski, Mississippi. More than 75 young people from all over Mississippi came together for a 4-day camp that emphasized safety as it relates to agriculture, driving, and health. During the camp, programs were presented on Tractor Safety, the dangers of Distracted Driving, Home Safety, First Aid, ATV Safety, Shop and Machinery Safety, and Electrical Safety.

Local participants in the camp included Alex Ivy, Ginny Beth Ivy, and Olivia Ivy, all from Ackerman.

Farm Bureau annually holds this Safety Camp to educate the youth of our state about the many dangers that confront them every day. To date, it has been documented that more than 50 lives have been saved due to the training received at this camp.
