Treats n Eats celebrates with ribbon cutting

Treats n Eats is a new business in Ackerman that offers a wide variety of food and over 24 flavors of frozen yogurt. It is located in the gas station Zippin at the corner of Highway 15 and Main Street.

The Choctaw County Chamber of Commerce helped celebrate their grand opening with a ribbon cutting on May 31.

Treats n Eats has an expansive menu with food choices ranging from hamburgers and hotdogs to frozen yogurt and tamales. Owner Toni Robertson wanted to bring something to Ackerman that it didn’t have.

Robertson describes the food at Treats n Eats as “awesome” and said if her name is on it, then it has to be good.

“Treats n Eats offers food at a fair price for its customers,” says Robertson.

Robertson is the owner of The Frugal Pantry located in Ackerman. She is also familiar with the restaurant business and is owner of Three Little Pigs BBQ with locations in Starkville and Memphis. Three Little Pigs BBQ is a featured item on the menu at Treats n Eats.

Robertson understands with a tough economy, customers need a cheaper alternative for food.

“As a mother, I wanted to give the opportunity for meals at a low price to our customers,” says Robertson.

Robertson is excited about this new venture and encourages everyone to come experience what Treats n Eats has to offer the community.
