Choctaw County Nursing Home residents and staff enjoyed a week full of activities, fun and food.
They celebrated Nursing Home Week, May 9-13 with fun activities each day to show appreciation for each other-residents and staff.
“We celebrate Nursing Home Week to show appreciation for all staff and residents at the nursing home,” said Nita Foust, activities director.
“Each year we plan special activities to do something special,” continued Foust.
This week was full of fun with beginning with a Balloon Launch, music with Melvin Mordecai and a 50’s Day.
Tuesday brought a Staff Appreciation Tea provided by the Nursing Home Auxiliary. The Auxiliary provided a table full of delicious snacks to show their appreciation for the Nursing Home Staff.
Wednesday brought the limbo and hula hoop contest along with a fun filled luau while some dressed for Hawaiian Day.
Thursday was T-Shirt Day and residents enjoyed a Carnival with fun and games.
Friday was filled with Western Day fun and a cookout.
Foust said the Nursing Home had a good turnout for all events.
