Volunteers honored at Nursing Home

The Choctaw County Nursing Home recently honored their volunteers with a Tea Party during National Volunteers Week. Nita Foust, activities coordinator, thanked all the volunteers for their “faithfulness” and what they do to help the residents. “Thank you for making my job a little easier and helping the residents,” said Foust. The volunteers were honored with many snacks, cake, punch and door prizes. Door prizes were provided by Forget-Me-Not Florist, Tizzy Lizzy and Pap’s. Volunteers attending the Tea Party were: Carolyn Thompson, Charles Maness, Jean Maness, Glenda Whittington, Eva McCane, Nettie King, Mansel Shumaker, Millie Newman, Brenda Wise, Nita Corwell, Teresa Simpson, Mary Lou Cooper, Lynn Wise and Betty Sue Adams.
