Student receives academic honor

Stephanie Rena Hardin of Ackerman, MS 39735 is among 119 students recently initiated into the University of Mississippi’s chapter of Phi Kappa Phi. Hardin, a graduate of Ackerman High School, is a senior in the Ole Miss School of Education. Her other honors include listing on the chancellor’s and dean’s honor rolls. Her parents are Michael and Paula Moore of Ackerman and Mark and Maryetta McCully of Louisville. Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest, largest and most selective honor society for all academic disciplines. Membership is based on a student’s sound character and academic standing. Juniors must have completed 72 credit hours and rank in the top 7.5 percent of their class, while seniors and graduate students must rank in the top 10 percent of their class.
