CCCTC students attend FCCLA State Competition

Students from the Choctaw County Career and Technology Center competed in the State Occupational Proficiency Competition held in Jackson, from February 20 – 22. Students took part in competition events during the first day and participated in the FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America) State Convention for the next two days. While attending the Convention, students were involved in several workshops. Some of the workshops included: 1) Fuel Up to Play, 2) Health & Fitness, and 3) Too Late Show. Winners the in the competition are: 1st Place Winners: Lauren Black – Drawing on a Croquis, Carmen Jensen – Apparel Construction I, Brianna Murphy – Principles of Design (Portfolio I) Drawings 2nd Place Winners: Tierra Miller – Elements of Design (Portfolio II) Drawings, Shonta Triplett – Principles of Design (Portfolio I) Use of Magazines Other Participants Included: Aleah Gray – Elements of Design (Use of Magazines), Kelsey Jernigan – Principles of Design – Interior Design Portfolio, Kasheena Mays – Couple’s Bedroom Presentation Board, Eltayvia Triplett – Teenager’s Bedroom Presentation Board.
