{news] ‘Little sisters’ offer support during the DYW Program By Press Reports

Everyone needs a little encouragement and help sometime and that is just what a little sister offers a contestant in the Distinguished Young Women of Choctaw County Program.
The contestants choose two ladies to serve as Little Sisters for the program. Being a little sister allows younger ladies to get an inside scoop on the experience. They see the behind the scenes perspective of the program and it allows them to decide if they might want to participate in the scholarship program when they’re in the 11th grade.
Since parents aren’t allowed backstage, Little Sisters take their place and help with wardrobe changes, hair and makeup, and provide moral support during the program.
For some extra fun, Little Sisters also perform an upbeat dance routine during the program. This year’s “New York” themed program will have 18 little sisters participating. The scholarship program will be held on March 17 at Ackerman High School
